Miss Keri Bio
Keri Lorenz is a passionate music educator and Buffalo, NY native. She graduated from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music with her bachelor’s degree in music education with concentrations in voice and choral studies. As a certified K-12 music educator, Miss Keri proudly teaches chorus and general music at Heim Middle with the Williamsville Central School District. She also directs the school musical for Heim Middle’s drama club.
Miss Keri is a dedicated member of the Erie County Music Educators Association (ECMEA), the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA), the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), and the National Association for Music Education (NAFME). She has co-chaired multiple all county festivals and enjoys giving back to the community that fostered her love of music.
As a devoted life long learner, Miss Keri prioritizes professional development and implementing culturally responsive practices in her music room. She participated in two choral study abroad experiences where she studied and performed in Germany and Peru. She has received training in the iTheatics Method, a set of best practices for cultivating successful musical theater programs. With an interest in instilling students with strong musicality and music literacy skills, Miss Keri is a certified FAME educator through The Feierabend Association for Music Education. She holds certifications in all levels of First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege.
Miss Keri is currently completing her master’s degree in music education at the University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music with an anticipated graduation in July of 2025. She resides in Williamsville, NY.
